Krasnoyarsk. SIberia. Timelapse & Hyperlapse
Помните, год назад я выкладывал таймлапс про мой родной город Новосибирск? В ролике можно было увидеть город в разные времена года, в кадре были небаянные ракурсы с высоты и гиперлапсы с земли. Так вот подобный таймлапс ролик мы вместе с Андреем Мельниковым сняли про Красноярск.
Съёмка велась в течение года. В дождь, снег, мороз и...Читать далее... жару. Летом с использованием всяких роботизированных примочек, а зимой с мыслями «зачем я вообще сюда взобрался, не умру ли я от отморожений».

Remember the time-lapse video about my hometown Novosibirsk, which I shared a year ago? The video featured the city in different seasons, non-trivial camera angles from the heights and hyperlapses from the ground. So, Andrei Melnikov and myself have made a similar time-lapse video about the city of Krasnoyarsk.
The shooting took a whole year, under rain, snow, cold and heat, using some robot-like gadgets in summer and having in mind “why the hell I’ve climbed here, now I’m gonna die of cold” in winter.

Красноярск - красивый сибирский город-милионник. Основной особенностью города, я считаю, является рельефная местность и близость к природному заповеднику «Столбы».
A few pictures taken during the process
Krasnoyarsk is a beautiful Siberian city with population over a million. Its main feature is, if you ask me, the hilly terrain and the nearby nature reserve “Stolby” (“The Pillars”).1. Речное пароходство, Коммунальный мост через р. Енисей. \ Inland navigation, The Komunalny Bridge over the Yenisei River.

Зима в Красноярске, возможно, самая суровая. Часто слышал от якутов, как они хвастаются своими морозами до -50 и как они в сугробах спят под Новый год в такой минус. Но никакие сухие морозы Якутии не сравнятся с морозами Красноярска, где при -30 и -40 не только колом встают автомобили, но и мысли в голове. Енисей не замерзает, потому в городе большая влажность и морозные туманы. Зачастую сложно переехать с берега на берег по мосту, так как видимость нулевая. Именно из-за высокой влажности морозы ощутимее.
Люблю красноярскую зиму.

Winter in Krasnoyarsk is probably the severest. I heard a lot of stories from Yakut people about the temperature down to 50 °C (58 °F) below zero and sleeping in snowdrifts on New Year holidays in such cold. Yet, the dry cold of Yakutia can’t beat the cold in Krasnoyarsk where at the temperatures of -30 °C (-22 °F) and -40 °C (-40 °F) not even cars freeze still but also all the thoughts in your brain. The Yenisei River doesn’t freeze, therefore the air in the city is very humid and there are frost fogs. It’s often challenging to cross the river over the bridge, as the visibility is extremely low. Exactly because of the high humidity rates, the cold is severer.
I love winter in Krasnoyarsk.

8. Но хватит о холодах. Летом город красив и полон зелени. \ Enough about the cold. The city is all green and beautiful in summer.

11. Снимать таймлапсом стройки, наверное, самое интересное. \ Shooting construction sites in the time-lapse mode is probably the most interesting thing.
12. Переходы из дня в ночь на видео тоже выглядят неплохо. \ Day-to-night transitions also look good on the video.

15. Ну и наконец сами «Столбы». В Красноярск можно ехать хотя бы ради них. \ Finally, the very “Stolby” nature reserve. The reserve itself makes Krasnoyarsk worth visiting.
16. О том, как мы забирались на столбы с огромной роботизированной рельсой и головой можно долго рассказывать. Это было долго и сложно (для некоторых не только физически). \ I could talk for ages about how we were climbing up the rock pillars carrying a huge motion control robot for time-lapse shooting. It was long and difficult (for some of us, not only physically).
